SETX Stand Downs

Who Are We & What Do We Do?

The Southeast Texas Stand Downs are FREE events that provide specialized services, resources, and assistance to area veterans and their families, homeless veterans, and veterans seeking social services. The Stand Downs are held in multiple locations and cities in Southeast Texas including Beaumont, Jasper, Lumberton, Orange, and Port Arthur.

Hosted by SETX Veterans for Veterans (V4V), the Southeast Texas Stand Downs are a collaborative effort involving SETX V4V, American Legion Post 33, and the Southeast Texas Regional Planning Commission.

Every Stand Down event brings together numerous vendors offering customized services for local veterans. These gatherings create a platform for direct interactions between veterans and service providers which aids in effectively bridging a crucial gap. Additionally, the Stand Downs cultivate a strong sense of camaraderie among participating veterans and presents invaluable networking experiences for attending vendors.
